Or you highlight your body with an arrow, select Herbal Aether Elixer and raise back up in a cluster of stars, gaining you an extra 200 experience points like in FF...

You die, nothing more, nothing less. You go in the ground, or you are burnt, or if you're really rich you can have your body frozen in liquid nitrogen.

Your soul will either go to hell, go to heaven, or it will be restless and your soul will be free to mess with the living. you know like stealing their toilet paper and crap like that

XD If Heaven or Hell exists, although highly unlikely, I would love to just go around jacking asswipe from random people...after they sit down and let loose so they can't just go get some...

Actually I found this interesting when I was wondering about
life after death.
It partly shows the evidence there is towards an afterlife and
also shows skeptics arguments and various other stuff...
heres the link if you're interested...

Hmm. Well, I don't believe in some metaphysical existence like a 'heaven' or 'hell,' but neither do I believe in nothingness, mainly because it's comforting. I don't believe our spirit/conciousness continues as such, but that we, after being judged appropriately, experience some sort of 'release' as such, in that our conciousness dissolves somehow. Well, if you've read the Northern Lights trilogy, it's sort of like that. Whilst I don't believe it's as simple as our body unravelling and going on to be part of the physical world, I believe human conciousness dissipates in a sort of release, and the remnants of our spirit go somewhere. It's hard to explain, but I believe we're not aware in the sense that we are now, but that there's some type of metaphysical conciousness that goes on to be a part of something bigger. What that is and what purpose it serves, however, I don't know. God is a possibility, but my views on God are just as odd.

Think about it this way, just another theory...
If you have a tv set and it becomes broken and doesn't work anymore,
the programmes still exist in another form (being transmitted) and are still around
the tv just can't tune into them because it is broken.
The same thing may happen when we die our thought processes will continue to
exist it's just our body is broken like a tv set...then our thought could be transmitted
to another 'tv set' (body) or something or could be in a different form.
Our body may be simply a reciever and the electrical impulses in our brain similar to
those in a television they will stop working when we die but the radio waves which transmit the signal
to the television still exist...if you understand what I am saying...

I would also like reincarnation as well. It would be nice to come back and have a whole other life that is full of new potential.

To be honest if our conciousness just disappears when we die, I'm not going to be too bothered, given I won't be around to remember it. It's not different from re-incarnation if you get down to it: whatever you were in this life ceases to exist. If you live on as someone else, then you've become someone else. It's not you anymore.

When I was 13, I decided to reject normality and chose to believe that Earth is just one of the 256 realms of existence, and when you die in one realm, you move onto the next.

QUOTE(BULLETZ144 @ Oct 27 2005, 11:17 AM)

I believe in Heaven and Hell,as I'm a Christian.

I believe their may be an astral plane you rome on until Jesus's second coming, but I'm not so sure about that.

Death confuses me..think hard on this...

Death:When you die,you will be dead, when do you die? lets say a bullet strikes you in the forehead, how long is it till your dead? in it the minute it hits? 2 seconds after? how long after getting in a fatal accident do you pass on?
Doesn't matter, you're a collection of chemicals.

QUOTE
Just Gone:Imagine if you were to just disappear, like sleep with no dreams, this would be FOREVER,and it wouldnt even be like a sleep with no dreams, you just quite frankly wouldn't BE anymore, and the conciousness of Being is gone, and you can't even reflect on the fact your gone.
Religion is French for "Too stupid to understand that".

QUOTE
I think what most likely happens is when you die, your soul slowly disconnects from your body, and slowly floats upward,to Heaven. If you an unbeliever i think your soul is destroyed and damned for all eternity.
XD
QUOTE

Now lets see how i think the afterlife will be like..

Heaven:A beautiful world of peace, being with God,being with people you love,no worries, you have the power to time travel and teleport, the world is perfect, nothing is ever wrong, and you never get bored of eternity.
Everything is relative, so unless you're sad you can't be happy...

QUOTE
5.You will be eternally seperated from God.
Oh well.

But that's an open system, unlike a dead brain stem. There's no such thing as the self - though there is such thing as Saturday Night Live.

What really makes me think about reincarnation, maybe you had a 'past life,' and that is what the so called, 'de-javu' is from. A feeling like, I've been here before, really makes it something to think about.

I guess u can go with the 21 grams approach, when a person dies they weigh 21 grams less. People believe that this is the persons sole leaving the body. There is also a scientfical theory, envolving the conservation of energy. Energy can be neither created nor destroyed. So something must happen. But no one will ever know.

after seeing what some of you have said, DONT SOUND TO SURE OF YOURSELVES, there is no right or wrong answer, NO ONE KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN, and that means everyone that has posted.

On side note, that movie was weak.

Back on the main issue - you won't know until you die, so there's no point in worrying about it. UNless you've been a really bad person and you're scared you're going to Hell...

Nothing. Your body remains lifeless for eternity, until of course you're either dug up or the world explodes, leaving your corpse to flail about like a dummy.

Hehe, I like the sound of the second one.
