I have exactly the same problem! The reasons for this can be background software/not enough room on your hard disc/scratches on the disc and now most probably your DVD drive is too old. I have a Pioneer 106. The solution seems to be updating firmware. This is difficult and dangerous as well (u need DOS and if the computer crashes during the process you can buy a new DVD drive).
Does anyone know another way to get it installed?

smile.gif Thanks for your suggestions.

I finally get it sorted. It appears to be a background software problem as MakeMyDay said.

In my case, a program called 'BeTwin' running at the background not allowing InstallShield to run.

thumbup.gif I finally got San Andreas working! My neighbour copied everything on his I-Pod and I then copied everything to my hard disc. Works perfectly!
