hrm.. id go into program files and make sure that under "rockstar games" there is no folder called "gta san andreas". IF THERE IS a folder called that, delete it completely, restart, and try to reinstall.

if that DOESNT WORK, id also check there are no registry keys that may be stopping you from installing. see if that works first tho

well, head to the registry, navigate to and click on the following key

HKEY_LOCAL\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\UNINSTALL\

with the folder (key) "uninstall" highlighted, do a search for "andreas". this should (i hope) point to one of those keys that says "{92384-9238-2343242-23874}". but not those exact numbers.

considering you get a hit, make sure the folder (key) you are seeing the search results from is directly under the "unistall" key (there will obviously be many other keys below "unistall".. you want to make sure the key your search found is directly under "uninstall's" hierarchy.

write down the numerical key name you find. then head to "program files" on your computer. click tools > folder options > view tab > and ensure that "show hidden files and folders" is NOT checked. if it was already checked and you uncheck it, it will complain when you click ok to save your changes.

once you have done this, in program files you will see a folder called "InstallShield Installation Information". delete the folder with the name you wrote down.

remember, this is considering that you even find a match when you search the "uninstall" registry key for "andreas"
