The three big gaming sites have posted some information about the forthcoming PC release of GTA San Andreas. IGN, GameSpot and GameSpy have posted articles with some new details of what to expect when the game is released on PC in June.
IGN's Article lets us know about some of the "new features". Although very much like the PC versions of GTA3 and Vice City the main things we can expect to see are a custom MP3 radio station, improved textures and load times and the replay feature. Multiplayer will not be included by Rockstar, neither will any additional weapons, missions, objectives, et cetera, although based upon the multi-player feature on the PS2 version, the guys working on MultiTheftAuto shouldn't have too much trouble turning this into an online game. GameSpot's Article doesn't really tell us anything new. They explain the background to the story, as if we didn't already know and cover most of the same stuff as IGN, although they do have a variety of different high quality screenshots on display. GameSpy don't really have anything extra to add either, although they do seem to complain a bit about the lack of extras in the port. If you liked the game and would like to play it with much higher quality textures and less load times on PC, then it's worth it, but if you were happy with the PS2 version, there doesn't seem to be too much to draw you in, apart from the obvious modding scene. Thanks to the Rockstar Games Webmaster for letting us know about the updates, and we'll receive some high quality screenshots to post on the site shortly. For those who don't yet know, the PC version will hit shelves in USA on June 7th and in the UK and Europe on June 10th. Stay tuned for more updates. --------------------   |

Wow, they could have put multiplayer in and had a load of people buy it as well as PS2 version but they missed out, go figure

im glad theres no sharp edges in the pc version, the cars and buildings looked so terriable with there changing edges and it looked relly messy

Not too familiar with the past GTA's on PC...does anyone know if San Andreas will be compatible with Macintosh?

All I know is that this game will have so many mods...... It'll be countless.

damn no online gaming
 why the hell couldn't they just have it in the game? whats the reason? i know the online mod for gta vc and gta 3 are good but theres to many cheaters it just made it boring as hell ... the main reason i was gonna get the game was for the online stuff ..

There is no way the Xbox version will be better.
-Xbox Version may just be an exact copy of the PS2 version -PC Version has sharper graphics, updated features, etc. -PC will have MTA (Multi-Theft-Auto) and Modding -Xbox will just have plain old GTA:SA In other words, PC will own Xbox This post has been edited by BigSmokeSucks: Apr 22 2005, 04:59 AM --------------------   |
