BOYCOTT RED BULL

In Alaska, My State, Red Bull held a competition which almost Killed many athletes

http://www.turnagainhardcore.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=273

Red bull gains profits from beverage sales and holds competition called "Red Bull Fuel+Fury"

heres the rap list:

Heath Frisby-Injured Ankle

Jason Semler-6 Broken Vertabrae, Torn rotator cuff, May Never Walk Again

Jay Quinlan-Broken Leg

Dan Phillips-Broken Ankle Might need surgery

Ross Mercer-Broken Back

Tommy Frankson-Broken Back

Dane Ferguson-Hairline fracture on leg

Sam Carver-Dislocated Shoulder and Broken Arm

Randy Sherman-torn rotator cuff and dislocated shoulder

Jason Semler Attempted to Backflip his snowmobile over the highway and hit the tranny on the landing slope and ate shit royally

You may think this is a bunch of stupid 20-somethings but the cash prize was enough to make them almost kill themselves to get the prize money

But i'll tell you Red Bull says they're "Fueling this sport into the mainstream" but what they really want is PROFIT

Red Bull doesn't care about the riders or how they get hurt

this may seem that the riders are just stupid but they never got hurt like this when just regular riding with no prize money and just riding for fun

some of their crashes got them just broken legs, but in this sport you can get an array of different injuries from many different crash possibilities

there was good footage tho

WARNING:need flash player 8

http://www.redbullfuelandfury.com

boycott red bull because all they want is profit

DRINK MONSTER

http://www.turnagainhardcore.com/forum/

Don't forget to spread this ALL over the Internet

a reason why i hate corporate companies

they're 20 years old don't tell me you never tried doing stupid stuff like making a dirt jump and clearing it with your dirtbike, bmx, ect.

with the amount of money offered you wouldn't understand how money and glory can cloud somebody's judgement

they try not to get hurt but in competitions this happens

and Red Bull Knows this just as much as the riders do but they still host them because they could care less about their lives because they want money in expense

The amount of money is the prize, and they know the risks.

End of story.

If people continue to risk life for money they deserve what they get.

Don't act as if money suddenly took the risk out of their minds.

And no, I dont drink red bull anyway because it's simply too expensive even compared with other energy drinks.

but i mean to make a Profit at the expense of others

and the company knows for a fact somebody is going to get hurt

no matter what there will always be somebody who would do this for money

and this company hosts the competition anyways because they could care less about people's safety

and yes, exactly, the money DOES cloud their judgement and takes the risk out of their minds

try to put yourself in their position

you're lining up to a 200 foot gap and everybody is cheering for you

you know you could win over $10,000 dollars if you do it

at that point anybody could care less about the consequences

"Boycott Red Bull because it makes a profit while a bunch of Xtreme Daredevils gets hurt or killed." That sounds familiar... hold on a sec...

Oh yes. Replace "Red Bull" with "GTA" and "a bunch of Xtreme Daredevils" with "someone related to a video gamer" and you've got that insane twit JT.

Or, replace "Red Bull" with "The DaVinci Code" and "a bunch of Xtreme Daredevils" with "The Roman Catholic Church's reputation" and you have all those idiots (yes, they're idiots, it's a FICTIONAL STORY morons, the author is a Catholic, why would he mock his own religion?) who burn TDVC and are boycotting any theatre showing the movie.

wait a minute, a few people got injured for a decent amount of money. lets take a look at football, they get paid a fortune for it, but every now and again they get injured, so we should boycot football?? using your logic again, olympic sprinters sometimes pull up with a torn hamstring, or whatever, does this mean we should boycot the olympics?

Every company makes a profit at someone elses expense, it is at my expense because they could just give the money to me and not make me pay for it, it is for some other guys expense who thought of the same product a year earlier and never did anything about it and it is at the competitions expenses for obvious reasons.

You know, people get paid for working dead end jobs for all their lives. The money blinds them to the fact that not working and having a really easy life would be a simpler option. Should we not buy anything from people who employ people.

Wow. Logic.

you don't get the concept

The Reason they made this competition they say "To Propel a sport"

real reason=to make a Huge Advertisement in disguise of a competition that will possibly kill the "stupid"(i should say to satisfy all of you) people that will enter this competition

the point is they knew somebody was going to get hurt, but they didn't care because they just wanted to spend money to make a competition that will advertise their product and give themselves a good rep

this is similar to the way Cigarette companies give 1 million dollars to charity, and spend 5 million dollars on telling people about it(taken right out of the commercial)

the only reason the cigarette company and Red Bull did what they did, was to shoot a commercial with little worry of the loss or cost

No we get the consept, we don't care, business is business, if dumbasses can't see what is going to happen to them then it is there own problem, and cigerette companies arn't allowed to avdertise in europe so that was a shit example anyway.
If your dumb enough to go buy red bull because you think it will make you drive in an "extreme" way you deserve to break your back trying to drive a skidoo like they did.

I get the concept. Companies exploit people for money. People exploit people for money too, and if individuals had the same power to do it as corporations did then they would. I'm all for supporting companies that keep good moral standards. But it's really no different to making people work for money.

who cares about europe anyway? jk

nobody up here thinks a red bull will improve their riding skills at all and i think you've got to be joking from saying tat
the only reason anybody drinks that is because it tastes good and gives you a jump of caffeine and red bull found out that their main demographic in this area is 15-23 year olds and they decided to exploit them

and somehow you think you're so much better then the riders

they all honestly think they could do what they were trying to do and they've all seen it done

they seriously thought they could do it and they tried to go a little bigger and they broke their back trying it

i know most people would puss out and i respect the riders for that but i don't respect them for not thinking things through

and i found out Jason semler is in the hospital for 6 weeks and he'll walk in a month or something

I've done stupid shit but never to the point to where I'd hurt myself. Then again if I did hurt myself I was probably too drunk to remember. Anyway that doesn't deny the fact that they should think before doing something stupid for money.

I don't think you guys get it...I understand that the people taking place in this event were stupid for doing it and stuff, but it was the fact that Red Bull put up a big, shiny prize for the people to do it. The people that took part in it never did such things when there wasn't a prize.

I'm not going to boycott Red Bull or anything, I can't because I don't do energy drinks in the first place, but I think it was wrong for Red Bull to hold an event such as this, at the risk of the competitors' lives, to give a lot of people a reason to buy a Red Bull (because it was one of the only drinks there, I'm guessing)...
