Zigor writes "CNET is reporting that a new flaw has been discovered in Internet Explorer that could enable a remote attack on systems running Windows XP with Service Pack 2, eEye Digital Security has warned. The discovery of this IE flaw comes just over a month after Microsoft issued a cumulative patch addressing three vulnerabilities for IE. The new IE flaw also adds to another vulnerability, discovered last month, that affects systems using Windows XP SP2."

From Slashdot.org

Hmmm still want to use Internet Explorer?

You get the same description every time you look up windows update.

If you have a good firewall you're gonna be safe.

My tip: download Firefox. Better on forums and a lot faster. And no spam or ads

Web Developer extension is a good plugin, it lets you disable images/javascript/cookies/ref loging and play about with the forms edit the css and get lots of other info about how the site works. Generally mess about with it.

Well it kind of is, as it's basically saying "Switch from IE". What other alternatives are there? Firefox is one of them.

But IE is always going to be exploited, it's the most used piece of software.

Another useful plugin is Switch Proxy, allows you to switch between proxies easily, or switch from using a proxy to not using one, very handy.

Which I believe is now called Proxy Switch (original).

I told you to get back on topic. You can mention what alternatives there are, but you don't need to make a dozen posts saying what you can download for it.

Sorry Zacko.
