Any news on when we may see a patch that allows us to listen to our own music off of the HDD in our PS3's? I'm hoping there will be an option for custom playlists so you can create your own radio station, instead of having to go to the XMB in order to play your own songs.

Discuss.

You don't need to tell us to discuss. This is a discussion board...

No news on any patch though.

I don't think there will be a patch for this, ever.

I highly doubt it's on R*'s list of priorities; or even in their scope at all.

I think if a patch was released it'd be around the same time the PC version comes out. There are still a few bugs in the game, perhaps R* will add the music function while fixing 'em, then again, maybe not.

what a rip off. seriously. yet another let down of this game. don't get me wrong...R* has taken about 10 steps forward from PS2 titles such as SA, but in the past few months since the release of IV, its seems to be steadily taking steps backward. angry.gif

Steps backward? How? It hasn't released anything related to GTA4 since the original release (save for the patch in May-June which corrected some annoying multiplayer/visual errors) that would ADD anything to the game.

There's thousands upon thousands of things people would like added to this game and R* is way too busy working on the upcoming PC version; the upcoming DLC; and cashing their checks from the first release to worry about adding all of these features for people who feel they were ripped off because they can't appreciate GTA4 for what it is.

If you want custom music while your playing GTA4, do the following:
-Pause the game, go to sound controls, turn music volume all the way down.
-Turn on your MP3 player, computer, CD player, whatever and play your own GTA4 custom soundtrack.

although GTA4 had a pretty good soundtrack, I am sick of it... I just turn the radio off when ever I get in a vehicle... and drive slow, listening for pigeons...
