GTA SA Save Glitch

online DANNY B0Y asks...
I have spotted a glitch on the 2nd version of GTA San Andreas for the PC. What happens is I max out all my girlfriend relationship percentages and complete 84% of the whole game, including Vigilante and Paramedic. But I "accidently" delete that save and start anew. I start this new game, and I die on the game thinking I've lost all my good weapons, on the mission "Doberman". But it turns out I haven't been billed of $100 or lost my weapons, the same outcome with getting Busted. I know that Katie and Barbara are the girlfriends that unlock a bonus of not losing anything if I get wasted/busted ingame. So I'm wondering if anyone has encountered the glitch or has an explanation for the glitch. It would be a great help.

I believe this is a glitch across all versions of GTA San Andreas. If you delete the save from the in-game menu, then start a new game, some of the settings/features from your previous game are still in the console/pc's memory and starting a new game then saving that game will duplicate the extra features.

Similar glitches could be seen in GTA III where you could leave skidmarks on the road outside your hideout, then reload your game and the skidmarks would still be there - because they were stored in the console memory rather than the actual hard data on the memory card etc.

I've had the same problem on my PS2 with an original "hot coffee" disc as well. For some reason, I can't explain why, the benefits transfer over to any other save file you make after that.

I had to completely delete all San Andreas data from my memory card and start again.

This is what happens when you park a vehicle outside and save the game. The vehicle will still be outside when you go out again. But if you load that same save file the vehicle is gone.

@Disco Dennis

I've not tried that glitch but it sounds cool. biggrin.gif
When this glitch is in effect and CJ dies, is it counted in the stats?

The amount of times I got wasted still counts, as well as when I got busted. I kinda got curious about that one too, so I tested it.

And sorry this was a year-and-a-half late. blink.gif
