Smoking in public spaces is already prohibited, but nicotine is still a legal poison.
And in Norway at least, commercials for tobacco (and alcohol) have been banned for around 30-40 years.
Now it is time to take the next step: Outlawing nicotine. According to the news today, this final step is already being prepared. If it passes, it will work like this: The first year (let's say 2015), 16 year olds will not be allowed to buy tobacco. From 2016 17 year olds will not be allowed to buy tobacco. From 2017 the ban will include 18 year olds. This will continue until no one will be allowed to buy nicotine and everyone will be free from this "slavery".
I must say it sounds as a good idea, but I fear what will be next if this law passes. Will someone suggest the same for alcohol? The day they completely ban alcohol I'll emigrate to another country or join som armed resistance group.
